McCann manhandles Georgiev at the iconic Royal Albert Hall!!
Saturday 28th September 2019
Hot prospect Dennis McCann continues to show his predator instinct, obliterating Georgi Georgiev iinside two rounds in front of a large 5000 seater audience at the famous Royal Albert Hall.
With promoter Frank Warren watching closely from ringside, McCann wasted no time in getting to work on his Bulgarian counterpart, holding centre ring and establishing the early exchanges off the lead jab.
Crouching and weaving, McCann cut off the ring superbly and began to land at will, dropping downstairs to land to the midriff of a largely negative Georgiev.
Known for his textbook 'screw-shot', McCann had Georgiev hurt with an array of short left hooks to the body, forcing Georgiev to take a knee with a minute left in the opening round.
Having seen Georgiev touch the canvas for the first time, McCann efficiently picked his shots, in particular an overhand right which scrambled Georgiev senses, just about seeing the end of the [first] round.
With one foot inside the door to move to 4-0, McCann sensed Georgiev was falling apart beginning to throw a few feints and time Georgiev on the inside.
The away fighter was shipping some heavy punishment as McCann continually stalked his man and swinging wildly showed he didn't respect Georgiev's power despite being incredibly tough.
With an eagerness to excite and steal the limelight, McCann mixed technicality with tenacity ensuring the referee intervened at the end of the second.
Having turned pro earlier this year with a Alan Smith at the IBox gym (Bromley), McCann has gone from strength to strength strength under world class tutelage proving himself on the big stage.
